Mark Bradford has been dividing his time between his coastal studio
in Essex and working as a graphic designer in the West End of
London, but encouraged by the enthusiastic reaction to his work he
is now taking up painting full time.
He is attracted to the bold structures of cityscapes and the real
time of London life that he portrays through the medium of oils.
His large canvases are boldly executed, displaying wonderful
contrast between light and shadow.
He has had a number of solo exhibitions in East Anglia and in Soho,
and has also had his work exhibited at The Royal Academy, the
Battersea Affordable Art Fair and the Bond Street Fine Art Society.
In his most recent paintings he draws on his observation and
enjoyment of the real life of London by capturing familiar street
scenes around Soho and Covent Garden, as well as the new urban
scenery unfolding on the South Bank.
Mark lives with his wife and family in Leigh on Sea. |
