MICK ELLIOT

Mick Elliot was born in Glasgow in 1948.  His father was in the RAF so Mick, his parents and five brothers and sisters were bounced around the world until Mick was 18, when he went to Portsmouth College of Art and Design to study for a degree in Graphics.

During a successful career as a graphic designer and creative director in advertising, he always painted - his first love.  He now paints full-time, with studios in Spain and at his Hampshire home.  He has had successful one-man shows in the UK and Spain, and has collectors of his work in the UK, Spain, America and the Caribbean.

Mick always carries a sketchbook that he fills with his visual observations, some of which go directly to canvas.  His work has a freshness and confidence that reflects this method of working.
