Theo Booth was born in Badminton, Gloucestershire, in 1947. He trained as an engineer but has also worked as a photographer and boat restorer. He gave up his engineering career in summer 1998 at the age of 51 and has been painting full time ever since. Theo has an amazing natural ability as a painter, and a fertile imagination. He includes among his influences William Roberts, Tamara de Lempicka, Ludvig Kirchner, Picasso and Modigliani. Enid Lawson Gallery gave Theo his first London shows in 2001, 2002 and 2003, and has shown his work ever since. Theo has lived and worked for several years in Croatia, and most recently a couple of years in Portugal. His work is in collections in numerous countries. |
